Nothing frustrates me more than visiting a dealership website or any other site and getting bombarded with loud music or knocking sounds directing me where to go. Video email has created a big buzz but you need to use it very carefully.
Recently while speaking at the Digital Dealer conference and sharing ideas to help dealers close more sales from Internet leads, I realized how everyone including myself is always chasing the next new frontier.

Can a Rural
Dealer Get More Market Share?

One of the ways a dealer in a rural market can grow their business is on the web. Most rural dealerships are located away from the major highway and have been established to support their local community. I know this all too well because I grew up in a very similar environment.
I started in the automotive business in 1976 at my uncle's dealership, Colome Motors. It was, as most dealerships were at the time, located in the heart of the community, which suited their purpose - to support customers where they live.
